Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese craft of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and dusting the seams with gold. Rather than hiding the damage, it embraces the crack as part of the object’s beauty — giving the piece a new expression and a longer life.

TRADITIONAL

Our finest kintsugi, using only natural materials — real lacquer and pure gold. Safe for everyday use as tableware when the care instructions are followed.
CASUAL & QUICK
from ¥4,500
Uses a food-safe synthetic resin as the base. Practical, affordable and fast — finished in a few days, so it fits within a trip to Japan. The gold and platinum finishes still use genuine metal. Safe for everyday tableware when the care instructions are followed.

* “Color-match”, “Gold” and “Platinum” are finishes within the Quick Kintsugi plan — the gold and platinum finishes use genuine metal (only the base material differs from Traditional). For a “simple” finish, please ask.

Send a photo of the piece by email for a quick, no-obligation estimate. Please include the type of damage and, if you can, a ruler beside it for scale. In-person assessment is also available by appointment.
Once you are happy with the quote and finish, let us know and we’ll confirm your order and the next steps.

Each piece is restored by hand, one at a time, by our craftspeople. Traditional work takes longer than Quick Kintsugi — we’ll keep you posted.

Payment by credit card (including a Square invoice you can pay from overseas), bank transfer, or in person is available.
We’ll return your piece to you by mail, or you can collect it in person. Return shipping is charged to the customer.
Once you’ve received your piece, please let us know within 8 days if you have any questions or concerns.
